Company History

The MEGACOUNT company was founded in 2007 by graduates of the Ufa State Aviation Technical University.

The company's technical solutions and products were significantly influenced by the technologies and knowledge acquired at the university - in particular knowledge in the field of designing aviation electronic devices, knowledge in designing automated control systems, knowledge in developing software products, knowledge in the field of video processing algorithms.

2007 

Founding of the company. Start of development.

Founding of a company for the implementation of projects related to visitor counting in network retail. Development of USB-RS485 interface converters, RS485 radio channel extenders. Design of automatic software Statistics for managing visitor counting data, writing technical specifications and beginning of engineering work on the development of electronic devices.

2008

Production of horizontal counters with USB interface

The release of the MC-USB wired counter kit with RS485 connection to a computer with a USB converter - the solution quickly captured the market due to its optimal price for the market, simple installation, easy setup of network operation, high reliability and accuracy of two-way counting.

2009

Production of horizontal meters with data transmission via GSM

Start of sales of MC-GSM wired counter kit with GSM connection - the solution was designed for shopping centers where there is no possibility to lay network communications to the counting points. The kit with GSM successfully coped with this, and was ideal for large shopping centers of the country where it was necessary to lay network cables

Production of horizontal meters with data transmission via Ethernet

The release of wired meter kits with transmission via Ethernet - the solution was designed for large federal trade networks where there can be 100 or more counting points. The solution completely untied the counting point from the computer, the data immediately went to the server. The solution became popular with large federal networks due to the optimal price, ease of installation and powerful network software.

Production of horizontal meters with data transmission via WiFi

The release of wired meter kits with transmission via Wi-Fi - the solution was designed for large federal retail chains where there was a problem with cable laying, so WiFi was optimally suited to these tasks.

Release of autonomous wireless meters operating on a 433 Mhz radio channel

We developed and launched into production a 2D visitor counter with Artificial Intelligence

Start of sales of 2D visitor counter to replace existing imported 3D counters. The cost is 3 times more favorable compared to imported analogues. Highly accurate counting at high and low altitudes, wide detection area. Easy installation, convenient calibration, the highest accuracy made it the most popular solution in the retail market.

2014

Start of development of stereo 3D people counter

During the year, the basic concept of the electronic board was developed, the first prototype was made and the micro firmware was written, which performed the construction of a volumetric stereo image from two video sensors. Excellent results were obtained, which laid the foundation for the 3D counter.

2015 

We developed and launched into production a 3D Stereo visitor counter with Artificial Intelligence

We developed and launched into production a 3D Stereo visitor counter, the counter fits perfectly into the market due to its high counting accuracy and high reliability. The 3D counting mode excluded children, shadows and grocery carts from counting. Automatic calibration allowed the counter to be calibrated independently on site.

2016

Start of development of OMEGA cloud analytics

Understanding that the number of working meters exceeds the 30,000 mark, it was decided to develop a software system for processing large volumes of data. This is how the foundation of the OMEGA system was laid.

2018 

Launch of OMEGA cloud analytics

After two years of development, the company launched a new data processing solution OMEGA on the market; the system immediately had a telematics function and allowed remote calibration and monitoring of a large number of meters.

Launch of WiFi analytics solution

WiFi radar scanners have been developed that can determine the number of mobile devices located near the meter.

2020

Development of a 3D high-altitude counter

There were many requests to install meters in shopping malls, museums and airports where there were high ceilings. It was decided to develop a meter that could count at greater heights.
