HOW IT WORKS
New generation infrared counters are developed for accurate counting of customers in stores, cafes, restaurants, boutiques.
The counters are two blocks that are installed at the sides of an entrance. Counting occurs when two IR beams between the blocks are crossed. Each beam accounts for either In or Out direction, which allows for accurate counting in each direction without any additional calculations. Each block holds two 1.5V AA batteries. Collected data is transferred to the USB-modem via a radio channel and later to a server or to the OMEGA software.
Operation of wireless horizontal OMEGA IR people counters is based on the principle of crossing two infrared beams and determining the direction of movement for both In and Out (bi-directional).
The main counting elements are two blocks — block T and block R: when directed at each other, they create two beams between them. Each time the beams are crossed, block R detects the fact of crossing and its direction, stores that data and later transfers it to the USB-modem as pictured below
ACCURACY
Our counters achieve high counting accuracy due to a number of technical decisions, modern reliable components that operate in the infrared range with the wavelength of 990nm, which ensures high noise protection and bi-directional counting with direction determination — In or Out.
Highly sensitive infrared receivers by VISHAY (USA)
Powerful IR transmitters with a directed radiation beam of 10° working in the 900nm range
ADVANTAGES
The smallest on the market — the size of a counting block is just 42x68x18mm
Powerful energy-efficient ARM processor
Radio channel 2.4 MHz
No display, so outsiders cannot access your data
A quick and easy system for changing batteries
Using 1.5 V AA batteries
Operate on one set of batteries for more than a year
Mounting directly to the wall or on brackets
ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Long service life from 1.5 V AA batteries is achieved due to using energy-efficient processors by SILABS (USA), which allows the device to work for more than a year on one battery set.
Power consumption in sleeping mode: 4 uA
Power consumption when active: 40 uA
Cortex ARM
RADIO CHANNEL
Wireless operation of the counting units and the modem is possible with the distance up to 200m between them and with the radio channel frequency of 2.4MHz
